Runs that Aren't Races in Beautiful Places

Start:    Mitchell Canyon Trailhead, Mount Diablo State Park, Clayton, CA.  Directions

Course:     Mount Diablo is the highest mountain in the Bay Area and provides spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and East Bay.  The course is hilly and scenic on single-track trails and dirt roads.  The 25 Km course climbs to the summit (3,849 ft.) and returns to the Mitchell Canyon Trailhead.  The 50 Km event does two loops to the summit.  (Distances are accurately measured using a Rolatape® measuring wheel.)
