Enjoy ever-changing views and terrain on “Devil Mountain.” You’ll enjoy sweeping panoramic views from the summit and highest point in the Bay Area. On a clear day, one can see hundreds of miles of California landscape. The trail cuts through meadowlands and sedimentary rock formations carved out by water and wind, to the rocky summit. Register today for the ultimate mountain challenge.

Bib Number Pick-Up:

7:30 to 8:15 at Mitchell Canyon Trailhead. Park entrance is $6.



Shirt Options:

Cotton shirts: Unisex 100% “Cotton Soft“ that is short sleeved preshrunk with a tag-less label.

Sport-Tek: These Ultra Performance shirts for ladies or men are 95/5 poly/spandex that keeps you cooler and drier while running. Raglan short sleeves add comfort and makes for easy movement. Ladies has a V-neck while the male shirt is crew.

Patagonia Shirts: Stay dry and cool and get some protection from the sun and salt in silky, lightweight Capilene. It’s quick to wick, ultra breathable and fast to dry. Made from 100% all-recycled polyester with 15 UPF sun protections and Gladiodor natural odor control.

The course is hilly and scenic on single-track trails and dirt roads. The 25km course climbs to the summit (3,849 ft.) and returns to the Mitchell Canyon Trailhead. The 50km event does two loops to the summit.

Aid Stations:

We will provide a variety of fresh fruit, salty snacks, salted potatoes, PB&J sandwiches, salt tabs, sugary snacks, Clif Shot Electrolyte sports drink, cola and water. Runners in the 50 km may leave a drop bag at the 25 km mark at the Mitchell Canyon Aid Station starting point with personal needs. It is highly recommended that runners carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations.


Awards are given to the 1st place female and male finishers overall in each distance. Ribbons are awarded to the female and male 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finisher in each ten-year age group for each distance. Ultramarathon (50km) finishers will receive a custom event coaster.
