On Sunday, April 18, 2024, trail runners will gather at Saratoga Gap for the highly anticipated Skyline to the Sea Trail Run. This sold-out event is a favorite among California trail runners, offering marathon and 50K distances along some of the state’s most scenic trails. From the crest of the Santa Cruz Mountains to the sandy shores of the Pacific, this run promises an unforgettable journey through towering redwoods and diverse landscapes.

From Skyline to Sea

The course begins at Saratoga Gap, located on Skyline Boulevard (CA-35) at Highway 9 in Los Gatos, CA. Along the way, participants will be treated to sweeping views of towering redwoods, high chaparral, and the beautiful Pacific coastline.

With an elevation gain of 3,000 feet and a loss of 5,580 feet, this race offers a thrilling challenge for marathon and ultra-distance runners alike. The combination of the rugged terrain and stunning natural beauty makes this one of the most sought-after trail running events in California.
